Struggling To Find Joy

It has been a struggle to be in this desert for the past two years. Some days have been fine, other days have been a challenge. For the past five or six months we found a tea cafe that we like. Sometimes we go there on Saturdays. There was a mildly annoying situation that happened, where we feel like maybe we should take a break from that cafe. As the days, and weeks, and months go by in this desert, it feels harder and harder to be here. There is a Scripture I am thinking about:

Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. (Psalm 42:5)

The writer of the Psalm is discouraged about something, and he puts His hope in God, and his Savior. Sometimes a particular situation gets us discouraged, and we lose sight of the big picture, and we lose sight of God. I have been praying to find the answer to living well even when I am in a place I do not like. It is still a journey.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, I am really struggling right now to be in this place. Sometimes it is an annoying situation with a particular cafe, sometimes it is just feeling physically tired, and so Father, I really need Your help to find joy, even when I am in a place I do not like. Please help me to understand how to do this.
